Amaravati, April 18 -- The trough that was present from Marathwada to the Gulf of Mannar on Thursday now extends from North Madhya Maharashtra to the Gulf of Mannar, passing through Marathwada, Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, and Tamil Nadu at an altitude of 0.9 km above mean sea level, according to the Meteorological Center.
In its daily weather report issued on Friday, the Centre stated that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds ranging from 40-50 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema over the next five days.
