Amaravati, June 6 -- A trough is currently extending from South Madhya Maharashtra to Coastal Andhra Pradesh, passing through North Interior Karnataka and Telangana at 1.5 km above mean sea level, the Meteorological Centre said in its daily weather report on Friday.
Another trough extending from South Chhattisgarh to Northeast Bangladesh at 0.9 km above mean sea level has become less marked, the report added.
The Meteorological Centre has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds ranging from 40-50 kmph at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam over the next five days.
