Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), May 3 -- The north-south trough observed on Friday now extends from the cyclonic circulation over southeast Rajasthan and its neighbourhood to south Tamil Nadu, passing through Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Interior Karnataka at about 0.9 km above mean sea level, Meteorological Centre said on Saturday.

In a daily weather report here, it said that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds with speed of 30-50 kmph is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema in the next five days.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is expected at many places, a few places, or isolated locations in Coastal AP and Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.
