Agartala, Dec. 28 -- A 45-year-old man, identified as Alindro Tripura, has been arrested on Sunday on the allegation of sexually assaulting his 13-year-old daughter at Chandipara area of West Ludhua village, in Sabroom in South Tripura.
The case was registered on Saturday at the local police station. Police sources reveal that the incident allegedly occurred around 1:30 AM on December 26.
In her statement, the young girl reported that her father had taken her to a rubber plantation under the cover of darkness, muffled her cries by covering her mouth, and committed the crime. Later she was brought to the police station, and authorities promptly began an investigation.
