Agartala, Feb. 21 -- A middle-aged tribal woman of distant Harishnagar in Bishalgarh of Tripura's Sepahijala district was killed by a group of youths for allegedly practicing witchcraft.
However, there have been no arrests in connection with the incident.
Police said local sources claimed that the victim Yashoda Debbarma of Narendra Debbarma Para area was murdered on Thursday allegedly for practicing witchcraft for the past few months.
She was subjected to inhumane torture after a group of people spread information about the presence of five female witches in the locality.
