Agartala, March 18 -- The Tripura government has announced the installation of at least 50,000 solar plants across the state in 2025 under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY) as an initiative to promote clean energy, said Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath.
"We have so far installed 12,800 solar plants to accelerate efforts to generate power at the household level for meeting the electricity requirement of the families, reducing dependence on conventional power sources," Nath stated.
