Agartala, Sept. 18 -- Tripura Government Teachers Association (TGTA) and Tripura Teachers Association (TTA) have moved the Supreme Court supporting School Teachers Federation of India (STFI), which filed a review petition in the apex judiciary against the SC's decision on TET.

The SC on September 1 made the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) mandatory for all teachers across the country who have been appointed before the passing of the Right to Education Act, 2009.

The Supreme Court delivered a landmark judgment declaring that all serving teachers from Classes I to VIII, both in primary and upper primary levels, must clear the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to continue in service.
