Agartala, Sept. 22 -- Udaipur in Tripura's Gomati district took a new look to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi today to open the redeveloped Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Complex in the afternoon.

Since last night, more than 10,000 security personnel have been deployed in Udaipur and the 61-kilometre road stretch between Agartala airport and Tripura Sundari temple.

In addition to police and TSR personnel, a large number of central forces have been deployed to ensure tight security for the PM's visit.

Police said that traffic movement on the Agartala-Udaipur road has been restricted, school and college timings in the areas have been rescheduled, and marketplaces around the temple were closed to make Modi's visit hassle-free.
