Agartala, Dec. 4 -- The Department of Skill Development and the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to focus on enhancing skill development opportunities for women residing in border areas.
The MoU aims to leverage the various facilities at the Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Akhaura to promote skill-building initiatives for women in border regions.
Starting in the last week of December, key resources of the land port, including the 30-seater conference hall, smart classroom, meeting rooms, and other infrastructure, will be employed to facilitate training programs for women.
