Agartala, Jan. 22 -- The unnatural death took a serious turn in Tripura over last five months that made the state assembly worried while legislators sought the attention of the government to look for preventive measures to come out from the menace.

Replying to a query of ruling party MLA Sudip Roybarman in the assembly, chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb informed that altogether 553 persons died in the state over the past five months including suicide and accident. As many as 66 people were murdered including 25 women and 135 persons have been arrested in connection with 65 registered cases of the crimes.
