Agartala, June 13 -- The fortnight long Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA), ended on Thursday, has created history in Tripura as it has reached over 1.95 lakh farmers, including 67000 women, surpassing the initial target of 1.72 lakh farmers. Addressing a press conference, Tripura Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that among the North Eastern states, including Sikkim, Tripura has reached the second-highest number of farmers after Assam through this campaign-an achievement unprecedented in the state's history.
