Agartala, Oct. 25 -- The police registered a case and started an investigation after Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Belonia police station of South Tripura was brutally attacked and injured when he, along with a team, had gone to stop an illegal DJ party being held beyond the permissible hours.
According to official sources, the incident occurred around 11pm when the police team reached the Oriental Club following reports of loud music continuing past the time limit fixed by Tripura High Court, which prohibits high-volume sound systems after 11pm.
