Agartala, Aug. 17 -- The Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare department of Tripura has been exploring the possibility of signing agreements to generate carbon credits through sustainable agricultural practices.
Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath announced the Organic Mango and Jackfruit Plantation Programme under MOVCDNER Phase IV at Lefunga Agri Sub-Division in Abhicharan Village, under the Mohanpur Assembly constituency in West Tripura.
The minister planted more than 1,200 mango and pink jackfruit saplings.
