Agartala, June 10 -- Leader of the Opposition in Tripura Assembly Jitendra Chaudhury launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led government in the state, alleging a total breakdown of law and order, and asked Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha to control spiralling violence to maintain peace and tranquility.
Chaudhury was reacting to an incident on Sunday night inside a city mosque where BJP cadres led by a party's state committee members reportedly attacked the residence of Congress leader Shahjahan Islam with firearms after he made derogatory remarks against the CM and state police.
