Agartala, June 6 -- The Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) has made a significant record by connecting with over 1.1 lakh farmers in the first seven days of its launching on May 29, intending to reach 1.72 lakh farmers across Tripura in two weeks, said Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Friday.
"With 12 working days planned and 72 meetings being held daily across all districts, we are confident of not only meeting but surpassing the 1.72 lakh target," Nath stated, adding that the central government report has lauded Tripura's effective implementation of the campaign.
He reaffirmed the state government's commitment to improving the livelihood of farmers.
