Tripura main opposition CPI-M, boycotts rest of budget session
Agartala, March 26 -- The main opposition of Tripura CPI (M) on Wednesday announced to boycott the rest of the current budget session of the state assembly, which will end on April 1 alleging partisan role of Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen in the House.
The CPI-M has 11 MLAs, and Congress has three legislators in the current assembly, while ruling BJP has 32, its ally TIPRA Motha has 13, and IPFT has one MLA. Leader of the opposition and CPI-M state secretary Jitendra Chaudhury alleged that the speaker arbitrarily rejected his privilege motion brought against Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath, who had hurled 'racial slurs' against him on Monday in the house.
