Agartala, May 12 -- Tripura government has initiated the process of recruitment of 432 nursing personnel to boost healthcare service in the state, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha announced on Monday while addressing the International Nurses Day celebration.
He said the state will soon appoint 332 permanent nursing staff. In addition, 100 more nurses would be engaged on a contractual basis.
"Nursing is a noble and essential profession. Nurses work tirelessly for the people. They are the frontline caregivers-checking vitals, administering medicines and injections, and providing care even before the doctors arrive," he said.
