Agartala, July 19 -- The Tripura government proposed to build a ring road of approximately 449 km under the Bharatmala scheme for Agartala city, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said here while addressing the National Seminar on Infrastructure Development in Northeast region.

He said as per the decision, all district and subdivision headquarters and unconnected habitations will be connected to the national highways with double-lane roads, which became a necessity with the growth of population, transportation means, and increasing rural-urban movement.
