Agartala, July 31 -- In a rare move, South Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Muhammad Sajad P has issued a stern warning to government employees, stating that any complaints of misbehaviour or discourteous conduct towards citizens will invite strict disciplinary action.

In an official order, the DM noted a rise in public complaints concerning the conduct of government officers/officials in certain district offices.

"Such conduct is unbecoming of a government servant and undermines public trust in governance. The Tripura State Public Services Guarantee Act, 2014, mandates the timely, efficient, and respectful delivery of public services. Any lack of the employees in the conduct would be dealt with seriously," Sajad said.
