Agartala, July 9 -- The Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Department of Tripura has developed more than 25,000 hectares of certified organic land and exported 1,332 MT of organic products-including scented rice, bird's eye chilli, ginger, turmeric, and pineapple-to other states and foreign countries in the last three years.
Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath said on Wednesday while addressing the first-ever Organic Buyer-Sellers meet that the world is not just demanding food; it is demanding safe, chemical-free, and traceable food.
