Agartala, Nov. 7 -- The District and Sessions Court of Tripura's Unakoti district has sentenced three Bangladeshi nationals to two years of rigorous imprisonment for violations of Indian Passport Act and Foreigners Act.
The convicts were identified as Md Rahnur Rahaman (son of Md. Rafikul Alam, a resident of Kulaura, Moulvibazar district), Jahid Ahmed (son of Abdul Khalik, a resident of Kurigram, Sylhet district), and Ruman Ahmed (son of Maklish Rahaman, also a resident of Kurigram, Sylhet district).
They were found guilty under Section 249 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Section 3 of the Indian Passport Act, and Sections 14A, 14B, and 14C of the Foreigners Act. The court imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on each accused under Section 3, R...
