Agartala, Dec. 4 -- Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has called on the central government to prioritize the creation of robust, all-weather multimodal connectivity for the Northeastern region, citing it as critical for unlocking the area's immense developmental potential.
Speaking at the second meeting of the High-Level Task Force on enhancing logistics, infrastructure, and connectivity in the Northeastern states, held on Thursday in a hybrid format, Dr. Saha highlighted the persistent challenges, ranging from rugged terrain and climate hurdles to over-reliance on the Siliguri Corridor, that continue to impede growth.
