Agartala, June 29 -- While pressing for quality work in a time-bound manner, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha expressed concern over poor maintenance of several road projects by National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) in a recent review meeting. NHIDCL has been accused of poor-quality construction of national highways in Tripura through local vendors at a low cost. As a result, all the roads they built were damaged badly within a year or two during the monsoon. They were also accused of not paying compensation to the people who had given land for road construction.
