Tripura CM inducts new minister in his cabinet
Agartala, July 3 -- Putting an end to days of speculation, BJP MLA from Nalchar constituency, Kishore Barman (45), a post graduate in Bengali and an RSS worker, was sworn in as a Cabinet Minister in Tripura today.
The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan.
The development comes a day after Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha met the Governor, reportedly to finalise the cabinet expansion.
Speaking after the ceremony, Barman described the moment as the beginning of a new chapter in his political journey. Barman's induction takes Dr Saha's cabinet to 11, with one berth still left vacant.
