Agartala, Jan. 10 -- While Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha praised the Bharatiya Vikas Gramin Rozgar Mission Guarantee (BVGRAMG) Act as a landmark achievement, the opposition CPI-M announced a statewide protest against the labour policies of the Modi government.

In a statement, Dr Saha said the initiative was designed to bolster rural employment and develop sustainable infrastructure, emphasizing that the new legislation would enhance accountability in the employment guarantee programme. This feature was lacking in the previous MGNREGA.
