Agartala, Jan. 6 -- Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has directed his administration to adopt the acclaimed 'Gujarat Model' of road safety to establish an accident-free road network across the state.

In a review meeting on Road Safety, the Chief Minister accentuated that the Gujarat model is built on three fundamental principles: Advanced technology, stringent law enforcement, and rapid post-accident rescue, along with medical assistance.

He directed officials to integrate these elements into Tripura's road safety framework. While acknowledging that Tripura's road accident statistics are better than the national average, he emphasised the importance of striving for zero fatalities, leaving no room for complacency.
