Agartala, July 26 -- Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today accused the previous communist government of deliberately destroying the royal heritage and religious places during its 25-year rule in the state.
He said that after coming to power in 2018, the BJP-led government has prioritised restoration efforts alongwith the development of new tourist destinations.
"There is enormous scope for tourism in Tripura and my government is working with special priority to boost this sector. The previous regime destroyed the cultural and religious tourism monuments associated with our royal heritage," he stated.
