Agartala, June 25 -- The ruling BJP observed Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas (Murder of Constitution Day) today across Tripura, recalling the horror of the Emergency promulgated under the rule of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, with seminars, discussions, and public awareness series.
In the central program at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan, the BJP youth wing hosted a mock parliament debate on Indian democracy among the party's youths. Addressing the gathering Chief Minister highlighted the dark phase of the Indira Gandhi regime.
