Shillong, Nov. 3 -- In another move of political re-alignment, the National People's Party (NPP) is set to join hands with like minded parties from the North East to form a new political force which will create a strong voice for the people of the region.

According to sources, parties like the Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) from Tripura under the leadership of royal scion, Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barma will come together with the NPP led by Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma by merging with the NPP before launching a new political party which is a pan-North East party.
