Agartala, Feb. 13 -- The anti Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) Movement Committee, a common political platform of tribal based parties today threatened to move Supreme Court against the Central government over CAB 2016.
Talking to media the leader of the committee and former MLA Animesh Debbarma said, "If Modi government gets the Bill passed in Rajyasabha, we will approach the apex court to stop it because the Act will be disastrous for the indigenous people living in the NE region."
Not only in the Supreme Court, the issue will be highlighted at the international forums too because it will harm the existence of indigenous tribes of the region, he pointed out adding that BJP has been moving to sacrifice the interest of the genuine Indians...
