Mandi, Jan. 6 -- The authorities of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical College (SLBSMC), Nerchowk, on Monday took stringent disciplinary action against three medicos-two seniors and one junior-following an inquiry into an incident reported under the Anti-Ragging Act.
The issue surfaced after Shubham Singh, a second-year MBBS medico from Shimla district (2024 batch), submitted a complaint on December 19, 2025, alleging that he was assaulted in his hostel room on December 18 by two senior medicos, Harsh and Prashant Jha, both fourth-year students of the 2022 batch.
Acting swiftly, the college administration informed the Balh Police Station and constituted a fact-finding committee headed by senior professor Dr. Rajesh Bhawani.
