New Delhi, July 5 -- Trinidad and Tobago has become the first Caribbean nation to adopt the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), India's flagship digital payment platform, while both countries agreed to explore further collaboration in the digital domain, including implementation of India Stack solutions like DigiLocker, e-Sign and the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).



This was done during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recently-concluded two-day official visit to Trinidad and Tobago on July 3-4.
