Kolkata, Jan. 8 -- The Trinamool Congress approached the Calcutta High Court opposing the Enforcement Directorate's search operations at the I-PAC premises on Thursday, seeking permission to file a case before Justice Shubra Ghosh.

The court granted leave, and the matter is likely to be heard on Friday.

The petition, filed against the union government, has named both I-PAC and the ED as parties.

The move came hours after the ED drew the High Court's attention to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's actions during its search operations earlier in the day.
