Mumbai, Dec. 19 -- Trimurti Films has filed a copyright infringement suit in the Bombay High Court against Dharma Productions, Namah Pictures, music label Saregama and rapper Badshah, for alleged unauthorised use of the song 'Saat Samundar Paar' from the 1992 film 'Vishwatma' in the teaser of the upcoming film 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri'.
In its petition, Trimurti Films claimed that the teaser prominently incorporates the song's signature beats and hook line without obtaining consent from the original producer. The production house has sought urgent ad-interim and interim injunctions restraining further use of the track, disclosure of all licensing agreements related to the song, and damages amounting to Rs 10 crore.
