Ranchi, Jan. 24 -- The mortal remains of Ajay Lakra, who died in a tragic road accident while on duty in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, were brought to Ranchi late on Friday night.

Ajay Lakra, a resident of Tiril in Ranchi, was among the ten soldiers who lost their lives when the bus in which they travelling, plunged into a gorge. Many more soldiers were injured in the accident. Another person who died in the incident, was 24-year-old Pradyumn Lohara from Punda village of Purulia district in West Bengal. Due to adverse weather conditions, the flight carrying the mortal remains was delayed, resulting in their arrival in Ranchi late at night. The last rites of Ajay Lakra will be performed in Ranchi with full military honours.
