New Delhi, June 25 -- Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 1400 hours on Tuesday after paying tributes to its member and Rajasthan BJP Chief Madan Lal Saini, who died on Monday at AIIMS here. He was 75.

When the Upper House assembled for Zero Hour at 1100 hours, Chairman Venkaiah Naidu informed the members about the BJP leader's death due to lung infection. He was admitted to AIIMS on June 22. The body was taken to his ancestral village in Rajasthan Monday night.

Born on July 13, 1943 Late Saini was a former MLA from Udaipurwati constituency from Rajasthan. He was appointed BJP state president last year.

Also associated with RSS, he held various posts in the Bhartiya Kisan Morcha.
