Srinagar, Sept. 4 -- Mild tremors were felt across parts of Kashmir tonight after a 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck AfghanistanAccording to the Meteorological Department, the quake occurred at 10:26 pm with its epicentre at latitude 34.58 N and longitude 70.66 E in Afghanistan. It struck at a depth of 160 km.

Though the tremors were felt in the Valley, there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, officials said.
