Tremor hits Bay of Bengal, magnitude recorded at 4.2

New Delhi, Dec. 2 -- A tremor of magnitude 4.2 struck the Bay of Bengal at 7:26 am IST on Tuesday, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said.

There were no reports of any casualties or loss of property so far.

According to the NCS, the tremor was recorded at a latitude of 20.56 N and a longitude of 92.31 E, at a depth of 35 km.
