Nashik, Oct. 12 -- A 31-year-old trekker from Gujarat died following a heart attack while trekking to Salher Fort in Nashik district.

According to police, a group of 13-14 tourists from Gujarat had begun their trek to Salher Fort around 5 am.

When the group reached the Parashuram Temple, one of the trekkers, identified as Bhavin Kumar Champak Bhai Patel (31), complained of breathlessness and stayed behind to rest.

Soon after, he collapsed and lost consciousness. Around 8:30 am, another group of tourists from Nashik, who were climbing the fort, spotted Patel lying unconscious and alerted their driver, who then informed local residents.

Following this, the Police were notified.
