Patna, Feb. 17 -- Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on Monday said treatment facilities had improved remarkably during the regime of the NDA government headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Pandey said that in the year 2006, on average, only 39 patients used to seek treatment in Primary Health Centres (PHCs) per month, which increased to 11,000 per month. Average waiting time in OPD in PHCs was 72 minutes in 2024, which reduced to 36 minutes in 2025, he added.

" In the year 2024, 69 per cent patients medicines were distributed, which increased to 83 per cent ", Minister said, adding that the number of pathology investigations done in January 2025 was 592,173. Similarly, 211,524 X' -ray tests were conducted in January 2025, he added.
