Palampur, Sept. 5 -- A two-day training programme on Shiitake Mushroom Processing (Post-Harvest Handling and Processing) concluded successfully at the Shiitake Cultivation and Training Centre of Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, Palampur, under the Himachal Pradesh Cluster Development Programme.
A total of 23 farmers associated with various FPO clusters of BPMU Dehra took part in the training.
On the first day, Shiitake disseminator Sapan Thakur and training coordinator Ambika Devi briefed the farmers on the importance of post-harvest management, grading, nutritional and medicinal properties of shiitake mushrooms, as well as different drying techniques.
