Kolkata, Nov. 1 -- After initial hiccups, the training for 80,861 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) tasked with conducting the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal began today.
A day earlier, the Election Commission (EC) had virtually introduced the BLO mobile application to all designated officers, and Saturday's session focused on hands-on training to operate the app, understand its technical aspects, and handle the Enumeration Forms.
Each BLO will receive a kit containing an identity card and cap. The training, being held across all districts, will continue till November 3, ahead of the house-to-house enumeration that starts on November 4.
