Srinagar, May 19 -- Train service resumed on Sunday after remaining suspended for two days for security reasons in the south Kashmir, a railway official said.

However, train service had resumed on Saturday on Srinagar-Badgam-Baramulla track in north Kashmir after remaining suspended on Friday, when there was a strike call by separatists in protest against civilian and militant killings during the Holy month of Ramadhan.

Train service remained suspended in south Kashmir on Saturday in view of tense situation following the killing of three Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militants in an encounter at Panzgam Awantipora in Pulwama by security forces in an encounter.
