Maharajganj (UP), Sept. 9 -- Traffic disrupted due to tension in neighbouring Nepal has been partially restored following normalisation of the situation across the border, police sources said here.

According to police, only cargo vehicles are currently being allowed into Nepal from India, while the ban on tourist vehicles remains in place. "The Nepal administration has clarified that tourism activities across the border will be completely closed for the time being," they added.

Officials said the Nepal government has enforced strict measures to maintain order. An indefinite curfew has been imposed in Rupandehi and other border districts, prohibiting processions, rallies, or gatherings of more than five people.
