Kolkata, March 13 -- Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Kolkata on Saturday, the Kolkata Police has announced a series of traffic restrictions and diversions across central parts of the city to manage the expected large turnout at the rally at the Brigade Parade Ground.
According to a traffic notification issued by the Kolkata Traffic Police, movement of heavy goods vehicles will remain completely suspended on several key roads in and around the Brigade area from Saturday morning onwards. The affected routes include Esplanade, K.P. Road, Hospital Road, Lovers' Lane, Casuarina Avenue and Queensway.
