Dharamshala, April 12 -- Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa on Sunday said that fairs and festivals play a vital role in passing on rich cultural traditions to future generations while enhancing their awareness and understanding.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating a wrestling competition (dangal) at the historic Dhumma Shah Mela in Dari, Bairwa said such events, deeply rooted in public faith, provide a platform for rural talent through sports and cultural activities.
