Ranchi, July 14 -- Members of the Indoor-Outdoor Sub-Committee of the Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce have raised objections to the Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) for implementing an annual 10 pc increase in hoarding fees, calling it a violation of the prescribed norms.

In a meeting held today at Chamber Bhawan under the chairmanship of sub-committee head Rajeev Chatterjee, members said that according to existing regulations, revision in hoarding charges should be done once every five years. However, RMC has been levying an annual hike, which they claim is causing unnecessary hardship for local traders and advertising agencies.
