Patna, Feb. 19 -- Congress MP and member of the party's Working Committee, Deepender Singh Hooda on Thursday said that the trade agreement with the United States cannot be accepted if it compromises India's national interest.

Criticising the proposed Indo-US trade agreement, Hooda told news persons here that no deal that compromises national interest can be accepted. He said that while trade agreements with other countries can help boost economic growth, they must be based on equality and public interest. Trade agreements cannot be signed by compromising the country's sovereignty or in terms of subordination, he said.
