Bhubaneswar, Sept. 11 -- Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has delivered uninterrupted power to over 21 lakh consumers across nine districts, covering nearly 48,000 square kilometres over the past four years, the company said today.

Its efforts have been especially significant for Western Odisha's fast-emerging industrial sector, which relies on TPWODL to meet its expanding energy needs, claimed the power distribution company.

Today, TPWODL powers 6,045 industrial consumers, including nearly 1,000 large industries and more than 5,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), a company statement said.
