Bhubaneswar, Oct. 30 -- Tata Power Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has achieved a major milestone by restoring electricity supply to over 9.5 lakh consumers,about 98 percent of the 9,88,253 affected, within just 18 hours of Cyclone Montha's peak impact.
The cyclone brought intense rain and gusty winds across several districts of southern Odisha, causing widespread disruption to the electricity network under TPSODL's jurisdiction.
Despite extensive damage to 33 kV and 11 kV feeders, substations, and distribution transformers, restoration teams worked round-the-clock to revive power connections swiftly.
